This study investigates the information resources available in the indigenous manufacturing companies, services provided by indigenous manufacturing companies in Kaduna and Plateau states and the use of information resources by the company employees. Twenty companies were studied from which 400 subjects were drawn from the companies. Survey research method was adopted for the study. Questionnaires, interview, and observation were used for data collection. The data collected were analyzed and presented in tables. Percentages were used in the data analysis. The analysis of the data revealed that: a. Information resources available in the indigenous manufacturing companies are mostly generated internally. b. Company employees attach importance to the internally generated information resources and consider the sources as their major information sources. c. Information dissemination services through notice boards and colleagues were used by the company employees more than other information services. i.e. Library services, and selective dissemination of information. On the basis of the finding it was concluded hat, information resources available in the manufacturing companies were mostly generated internally. Information services provided mostly depend on internally generated information resources. On the use of information resources and services, employees use the internally generated information for company activities and decision making.
