ABSTRACT
Price controls are governmental impositions on the prices charged for goods and services in a free market, usually intended to maintain the affordability of staple foods and goods, and to prevent price gouging during shortages, or, alternately, to insure an income for providers of certain goods. It is the duty of the Nigerian government to provide adequate price monitoring and control system that will guard how price of goods will be use in our society. Price monitoring and control system is a program written to assist the ministry of commerce and industry in area of effective recording of all issue of price of goods allocation. It keeps the organization to keep effective and reliable records of the entire fund in the state. Over the years, the society has been face with improper accounting of fund in the nation. The organization have been finding it difficult to effectively manage fund allocation issue but with this price monitoring and control system; this will make it easier to tackle problems like security, road project problems etc effectively. As a result of these, Software based for price of goods monitoring and control system is designed to assist in the price of goods allocation process.
