ABSTRACT
This study examines the Passenger Manifest Information (PMI) system, focusing on its critical role in organizing passenger records for flights, with a specific case study of Sosoliso Airline. PMI systems compile detailed data such as full name, date of birth, social security number, emergency contact, and telephone number for each passenger. These records play a pivotal role in passenger organization, security screening, and emergency response, as exemplified by the Sosoliso Airline disaster of December 10, 2005.

The study evaluates the existing PMI system, exploring its functionality, including input data capture, processing logic, output generation, and file management. Data for this research were obtained through direct interviews with airline staff, internet resources, unpublished projects, and pamphlets. The research highlights that the PMI system enables the identification of passengers posing security risks and facilitates enhanced screening processes. The study also identifies gaps and provides insights for system improvements to ensure efficient airline operations and robust passenger safety protocols.
